Count Anything Help
Getting Started
Count Anything is a free word-counting utility. It can provide word counts for many different file types, including Word (.doc, .rtf), PowerPoint (.ppt), Excel (.xls, .csv), XML, HTML, and plain text.
You can select individual files or entire folders to count, and drill down on count results to get details about specific files, character types, and Asian character types.

- From the File menu, select Wordcount, or press F5.
- The Pick Files to Count dialog box opens.
Select the files you wish to include in the word count, then click
OK.
(See Adding Files for details.) - The word count appears in a tab in the Count Anything window. Click on file names to drill down on that file. Click on "Total" to drill down on the total for the word count. See Drilling Down on Results for details.
Adding Files
When you perform a word count, you add files to count in the File Picker dialog box.
You can drag and drop files into the list, or use the Add File(s) and Add Folder buttons. Click Remove to remove the selected file(s) from the list.
When you add a folder, either by dragging and dropping it or by clicking Add Folder, the Add Folder dialog appears.
